줄거리
계산원 모리스 르그랑은 공포의 여인, 아델과 결혼했다. 아내에게 질린 그는 우연히 룰루를 만나 그녀를 정부로 삼는다. 그는 마침내 사랑을 만났다고 생각하지만 루루는 정작 포주인 디데와 사랑에 빠진 부랑자에 불과했다. 그녀는 오직 돈에 대한 디데에게 줄 돈을 위해서 르그랑을 받아들이는데...
