Wedlock

Lewis Teague's 1991 film follows a prison escapee racing toward his hidden loot, electronically shackled to a fellow inmate by a device that will trigger if they stray too far apart. Blending action, crime, science fiction and thriller in a made-for-television package, it builds tension and reluctant partnership from a clever high-concept hook. The tone is brisk and pulpy, mixing chase-driven suspense with sparks between mismatched fugitives. It suits viewers who enjoy concept-led thrillers and forced-team escape stories. With a MagicMovieScore of 5.8, it offers a modest but inventive slice of early-'90s genre entertainment for fans of gimmick-driven action.
