MovieMagicScore Overview
Auto-generatedA 2008 Japanese animated feature directed by Takayuki Hirao, this installment fuses action, drama, fantasy, mystery, and thriller into a dark, cerebral puzzle. The story follows a young man fleeing danger who confesses to a killing, only for reality itself to seem to bend around the crime. The tone is moody and atmospheric, leaning into supernatural intrigue and unsettling ambiguity rather than easy answers. With a MagicMovieScore of 7.6, it rewards patient viewers drawn to stylized anime, layered narratives, and philosophical mysteries that blur the line between life, death, and perception.
