Shahkarim Kenzhetaiuly Aimanov (15 October 1914 – 23 December 1970, known by the diminutive Shaken) was a Kazakh Soviet actor and film director. He is considered to be the father of Kazakh cinematography, as well as an iconic film director and actor. He directed eleven films between 1954 and 1970.
