How do I create an account?
Tap the "Sign Up" button on the home screen and enter your email address and a password. You can also sign up using your Apple ID.
How do I rate a movie?
Navigate to any movie's detail page and tap on the stars to rate it from 1 to 10. Your rating will be saved automatically.
How do I add movies to my watchlist?
On any movie's detail page, tap the bookmark icon to add it to your watchlist. You can view your watchlist from your profile.
How is the MagicScore calculated?
The MagicScore combines user ratings from our community (70%) with aggregated external ratings (30%) to provide a balanced score that reflects both popular opinion and critical reception.
Can I import my ratings from Letterboxd?
Yes! Go to Settings and select "Import from Letterboxd". You'll need to export your data from Letterboxd as a ZIP file and upload it to MovieMagicScore.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action is permanent and will remove all your ratings, reviews, and personal data.
Troubleshooting
App is running slowly
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, check your internet connection or try again later.
Can't log in to my account
Make sure you're using the correct email and password. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset it.
Movies not loading
Check your internet connection. Pull down to refresh the page. If the problem continues, try reinstalling the app.
